FOSSMeet 2014

FOSSMeet is an annual event at NIT Calicut that brings together the Free and Open Source Community from around the country. It was started in 2005 to encourage contribution to free and open source software. The last 8 editions were hugely successful and brought together a lot of enthusiasts. FOSSMeet 2013 witnessed around 350 participants from colleges across South India.

Mr. Ayush Jaiswal of B.Tech CSE ( eighth semester) got  the Prof. P.M. Jussay Award for the Best Outgoing Student NITC 2014. He received the award from the Former Kerala Chief Secretary, Sri. Babu Paul  IAS (retired) in the  the NITC Alumni Annual Meet held at Cochin on  26-1-2014.

CSE DEPT PTA MEETING HELD ON 11-01-14

The Department Level PTA meetings of the CSE department were held on 11-1-2014. More than 65 parents attended the meetings. Prof.Priya Chandran, Dept PTA coordinator gave a presentation on the recent developments in the department. Discussions were held on the Mission and Vision of the department. Faculty Advisers of various semesters also addressed the parents.  Feedback from the parents were collected.
