Department of Computer Science and Engineering invites PhD Applications for the Winter 2024 Session.

Available Schemes:

Scheme I: Full-time registration with Institute Fellowship or other Govt. Fellowships
Scheme II: Full-time registration under the Self-Sponsored category
Scheme III: Full-time registration for sponsored candidates
Scheme IV: Internal Registration for regular staff employed at NITC
Scheme V: External (Part-time) Registration for candidates, from Industry or other organizations including Educational Institutions
Scheme VI: External (Part-time) Registration to Direct PhD programme for candidates working in Industry/R&D Labs who do not have a post graduate degree but have relevant experience in reputed industries

Selection Procedure:

The selection is based on a written test and Interview for all schemes. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the written test.

Syllabus for the Written Test:

The Syllabi for the test will consist of foundational questions from Computer Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms and Discrete Mathematics. The weightage for the subjects Computer Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms and Discrete Mathematics will be in the ratio 1:2:1. The test will be conducted for 90 minutes.
