Smt.  Anu Mary Chacko , Assistant Professor, CSED, got Ph.D from NIT Calicut.  The title of her Ph.D thesis is  'Automatic Provenance Collection using Middleware for Big Data Applications'.  She did her PhD dissertation work in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the supervision of Dr. S.D Madhu Kumar, Associate Professor, CSED.

Dr. Vinod Vasudevan, Chief Executive Officer of FLY TXT, Trivandrum inaugurated the activities of the CSEA of the current academic year on 21st August 2017 in the CSED Seminar Hall. Dr. Vinod gave a keynote address on the topic “Resurgence of AI- Positive, Negative or Neutral?”
