Mr. Aysh Jaiswal ( sixth semester B.Tech CSE student) has been selected for research internship at the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California for a period of 8 weeks (during our summer vacation) through the Viterbi-India 2013 Program. Mr. Tijo Jose , M.Tech ( CSE) student of the Computer Science & Engineering Department received an International placement offer from Google Inc with an annual salary of US $ 1,30,000 ( Rs.70 Lakhs per year ) . This is the highest ever salary offer received so far by an engineering student in Kerala. The posting is in Google’s office at Mountain View, USA. At this proud moment, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and the Training and Placement Cell wholeheartedly congratulate Mr. Tijo on his remarkable achievement.
6 students from 2nd year MCA of the Computer Science and Engineering Department of National Institute of Technology Calicut won the overall championship as well as the Star of LOGIN '11 award at LOGIN '11, the National-Level Technical Symposium held at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore on 10th and 11th September 2011.
The fest witnessed a participation of 55 colleges from all over India including NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, Pondicherry University, Madurai Kamraj University and Coimbatore Institute of Technology and over 400 students.
The paper entitled "A Cloud Based Scheme for Constraint-less Mobile Computing" got the best paper award and a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- in the first International Conference on Emerging Technology Trends in Cloud Computing ( ICETT 2011) held at Kollam during 25th March 2011 - 26th March 2011. The authors are S.M.M.M Kalyan Kumar, Madhu Kumar S D, Suresh Chandra Moharana, Lskrao Chimakurthi.
9 students from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology Calicut won the overall and best college trophy at Excellencia '11, the technological fest held at MES Engineering College, Kuttippuram on 23rd and 24th February. The fest witnessed a participation of 35 colleges, and over 400 students.
